The Leap of Faith: My Next Chapter

If you’ve known me for a while, chances are you’ve known me for everything from hosting parties or events, making music, video production, photography, marketing, consulting, launching Noirbnb, or a plethora of other things. To say I’m a “man of many hats” would be an understatement. I’ve been blessed to be able to build businesses out of all those things and they’ve given me the opportunity to build great relationships with incredible people, experience amazing places, and acquire valuable skills I’ll cherish and hone for the rest of my life.

While I still have a passion and love for all of those things, I’ll be taking a step back from a majority of them to focus on the next chapter of my life. After much thought, deliberation, and counsel, I’ve decided to take the leap of faith and focus on building my real estate business.

What this means is that I’ll be stepping back from my design, media, and content marketing businesses. Instead of having a business that primarily does design and creates content for outside clients, I’ll be utilizing my design, photography, and content creation skills to build my real estate business and brand. Whereas I’d been using those businesses as revenue streams to sustain while building Noirbnb and learning as much as I could about real estate, it only made sense to burn the ships, so to speak, and jump fully into this next journey.

To clear up any confusion before you read any further, people have asked me, “does that mean you’re quitting Noirbnb?”

No, not at all. Far from it. In fact, Noirbnb is an even bigger part of why I’ve decided to make this decision.

When we first started Noirbnb, our goal was to provide a solution for people who routinely face discrimination while seeking accommodations. While that is still a core part of our mission, the other side of that is seeking and providing those accommodations where people can feel safe, comfortable, and enjoy their experience, regardless of their race, religion, creed, color, age, ability, or orientation.

That same mission is a big part of what inspired me to become a Realtor. Many people from the Black community were disenfranchised and robbed of the opportunity to build wealth via real estate, the #1 wealth generator known to man. Prior to the Fair Housing Act of 1968, it wasn’t illegal to discriminate against people in regard to the sale, purchase, rental, or financing of real estate transactions. This led to countless cases of redlining, denying loans or insurance to someone based on race or other factors. As well as things such as steering, directing certain demographics to certain areas.

Part of my personal passion and value system has always been centered around family, the home, and generational wealth. I believe that our community and all communities are better when they the people in those communities not only have safe comfortable homes to reside in, but when they can also utilize that home or their knowledge of real estate to secure a future for themselves and their families.

That’s why I’ve set a personal goal of helping 100 people sell, buy, or rent a home in 2020. Is that a big goal? Most definitely, but hey, go big or go home. The only way to even come close to achieving a goal that massive is to go all-in, and that’s why I’ve chosen to embark on this journey. I aim to be one of the top agents in my market and I’m asking for your blessing and help

If you or someone you know is in need of a Real Estate agent in the South Florida market that’s dedicated to providing world-class service, I want you to think of me.
